Early Life and Career Information
Chris Rock was born on February 7, 1965, in Andrews, South Carolina, to Julius Rock and Rosalie Rock. His father was a truck driver and newspaper deliveryman, whereas his mother was a teacher and social worker.
Growing up, Rock faced countless incidences of abuse, mostly on account of his race. The bullying and beating he received from white students came to a breaking point while he was attending James Madison High School.
